PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a keen, willing and hard working young person who is eager to broaden my experience and skills. I have excellent team working skills as well as being computer literate in Microsoft Packages such as Word, Excel, Access, Project and Publisher. I consider myself to have very good communication skills and always enjoy meeting new people. Within my previous experience I have had responsibility for cash handling and serving customers and I am keen to utilise these skills to find employment in any area of work.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY/WORK EXPERIENCE
Oct 2012 to Present                           Retail Assistant                     Lighthouse
I work as a volunteer at the Lighthouse Young Persons Project two days a week as a Retail Assistant, mainly working on the checkout as well as re-stocking shelves and stock rotation. This role also includes assisting customers into the project with purchases and advice and ensuring all stock is priced correctly prior to going on display.

Nov 2012 to Dec 2012                       Retail Assistant                     Tesco
At Tesco I did a short work placement, arranged by Mencap. My duties included working on the checkout, stock rotation and replenishment.

2009 to 2012                                       Catering Assistant                 College Bell Bar
During my time attending Loughborough College I worked on a voluntary basis at the College bar. My duties were to assist in the serving of staff and visitors, food preparation and basic cooking. I was also responsible for handling cash and general cleaning duties around the bar area.

ACHIEVEMENTS
I have been an active member of the students committee for two years, voted for by other students at the RNIB College Loughborough. Other roles have been Social Secretary and Activities Secretary, where I have planned and organised a number of different events such as Valentines Day Parties, theme park trips, charity bike rides, end of term parties and canal boat trips for both staff and students.
