1967 MGB Roadster Modified to Stage 2 (Fast Road/Rally) Specification.

First modified for racing in 1968, subjected to major restoration in 1997.

Raced and Rallied successfully over many years.

Engine originally built by Sheppard Racing Ltd, Colchester and rebuilt 1997. New Stage 2 cylinder head built by Rob Walker Racing Ltd, Enstone 1999.
4-cylinder, bored out from 1798cc to 1950cc.
Large inlet valve cylinder head gas-flowed and ported.
Kent 715 camshaft.
Weight-matched Lotus flat-topped 21093R pistons (twin cut-outs).
Balanced and toughened crankshaft.
Balanced and lightened flywheel.
Lumenition electronic ignition.
Lucas competition coil.
Kenlowe electronic fan and inpipe thermostat.
Weber 45 DCOE twin-choke sidedraught carburettor.
K & N air filter.
Long stand-off inlet manifold.
Peco custom exhaust header.
2" straight-through, single box, Peco competition exhaust.

Max power 150 bhp/Max torque 160lb/ft @ 5000rpm (flywheel) 125 bhp at rear wheels.
Power to weight ratio 180 bhp/ton.

Performance
(Standard ratios; 3.9 : 1 final drive).
Max speed 132 mph @ 6000 rpm with works hardtop.
0 - 60 mph 7 seconds.

Gearbox Modifications
Competition clutch.
Laycock competition overdrive on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears.

Suspension and running gear modifications
Body and suspention restored and modified by Brown and Gammon Ltd.
Evolution II front and rear competition (road) suspension system.
Front anti-roll bars (0.56").
SPAX competition adjustable springs and dampers.
Twin-caliper, oversize competition RV8 front discs.
Kevlar pads and linings.

Body Modifications
All steel with lightweight fibreglass bonnet.
